Pastor Clark Mitchell

At age 15, Clark Mitchell knew God was shaping his desire to help lead people into their God-given potential and dreams. It was that same dream and passion that motivated him to begin JourneyChurch with his wife and 34 others in late 2001. As the church continued to see unprecedented favor in leading the next generation, Pastor Clark continued to look for innovative ways to transform cities one life at a time. Ten years after founding JourneyChurch, Clark and Robin began Loveworks Leadership, Inc. (LLI) Again, the initiative was met with unprecedented enthusiasm as LLI created environments for at-risk middle school students to receive academic tutoring, life skills training, and leadership development to give them hope and to shape their character to become the leaders they were created to be.

Within the environments that Clark creates, whether at home, at the church, or for LLI his leadership style is consistent. He encourages everyone that the principle of being planted is a key to experiencing success in life. Those individuals discover and shape their stories. They also have the opportunity to partner with others, encouraging them on their journey.

A series of health challenges including a spinal fluid leak, a brain stem tumor and a tumor in each of his cranial nerves leading to his ears, has taught Pastor Clark to focus on God’s blessings. He had brain surgery on April 12, 2012 in attempt to remove the tumor centrally located on his central nervous system. Although there have been great strides, the tumors continue to challenge medical professionals and affect Pastor Clark’s daily life. With a relentless spirit and unwavering faith, Pastor Clark walks in God’s anointing to teach amidst the hardships he faces. He pursues the vision God has placed before him, and he believes the mountains of challenge present opportunities to strengthen his faith. He is committed to living, leading and teaching e3:20, “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.”

As husband to Robin and father to Christopher, Caleb and Caitlyn, Pastor Clark strives to lead the church just as he leads his family. He encourages everyone to work together and to know and share their story, and he enjoys creating environments where people are rooted in God’s house. Pastor Clark believes the key to seeing cities transformed is to shepherd the next generation, helping them realize their God-given potential and dreams to make Kingdom impact.
