- GIVEGiving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. As believers we are on a mission to point people to Jesus and are called to steward the finances God gives us toward that end. If you are a Christian outside our area and feel led to give above and beyond your primary giving to your local Christian church, we welcome and appreciate your support. If you attend JourneyChurch.tv, then this is simply another avenue to serve in a way God has called us to. One of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits”(2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). The New Testament Scriptures doesn’t call us to a percentage but a principle. That principle is one of giving cheerfully and sacrificially for the sake of the Gospel. We thank those who help us meet the needs and pray that God would help us to use every gift for the furtherance of The Gospel. God bless you as we serve Him Together in all that He has call us to do. “Since you excel in so many ways–you have so much faith, such gifted speakers, such knowledge, such enthusiasm, and such love for us–now…

My Mom
Motherhood is an exquisite and complex combination of work, passion, emotion, pleasure, and determination that never, ever ends. At least that’s my perspective. I am a daughter and a dreamer. I dream that some day I, too, will join the army of women who conquer this role and claim the crown as, “Mom.” As God knits within many women the …
Pure Grace – Week 5
If you are like me, when I first starting reading this book I had to put it down a few times and come back to it. There was a mixture of emotions—confusion, doubt, and liberation. Pure Grace has started a wrestling match in my heart. Is this true? Is this new theology? Should I believe everything I am reading? What …
Pure Grace – Week 4
There is simplicity in grace. However, it is in our human nature to make things much more complex than they actually need to be. I also believe that is the beauty of Christ’s atonement. The intention behind our creation was perfection. Adam & Eve walked, communicated, and lived in God’s presence. Then the fall of mankind, dun dun dun… Since …
Pure Grace – Week 3
Are Christians under the law? Pastor Clark spoke on Life or Law on Sunday; which gives us a great starting point for a look at chapters 4 & 5 of Pure Grace. This highly debatable question is brought forth in the beginning of chapter four – “Are Christians Under the Law?” Pastor Clark Whitten uses the Apostle Paul’s words from …
Pure Grace – Week 2
On Sunday, we had the privilege of learning from Pastor Clark Whitten, author of Pure Grace. He presented the truth about grace and our freedom from law. Romans 5:17 says, “For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in …
Pure Grace – Week 1
Pastor Clark Whitten, Senior Pastor of Grace Church Orlando and author of Pure Grace, will be joining us this weekend to speak about grace. Pastor Whitten shared his story with us this past spring and we are so thrilled he’ll be joining us again. He is one of Pastor Clark Mitchell’s greatest mentors and there is no greater person to …
A Word on Easter
JourneyChurch we have an awesome opportunity to see life change happen this weekend. Easter is one of the best times to invite people to church so they can hear first-hand about the love and mercy of God, and experience His presence. As you know, this is how real life change takes place. In preparation for this weekend, we would like …
Palm Sunday Reflection
When looking at this particular gospel narrative one must begin to ask questions as to what is taking place in this moment and time. At this point in the story Jesus has moved from a relatively unknown rabbi, to a revered prophet who has performed many signs and wonders to now one who is claiming to be the long sought …
The Four Laws of the Marriage on the Rock
One of my favorite teachers on relationships, especially marriages, is Jimmy Evans. In his book “Marriage on the Rock”, Jimmy presents four laws for a successful marriage. This is one of two books Stacy and I studied before we got married (the other was Love and Respect). Stacy and I review these four laws regularly to make sure that we …
A Retreat
The faith journeys of teens are often challenging because teens have a tendency to become disconnected from their faith. At Journey Church, we desire to reverse this trend and create an environment where students stay connected with their faith and each other. We desire to see our students Honor God, Build Healthy Relationships and Have A Blast! We strive to …
