- GIVEGiving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. As believers we are on a mission to point people to Jesus and are called to steward the finances God gives us toward that end. If you are a Christian outside our area and feel led to give above and beyond your primary giving to your local Christian church, we welcome and appreciate your support. If you attend JourneyChurch.tv, then this is simply another avenue to serve in a way God has called us to. One of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits”(2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). The New Testament Scriptures doesn’t call us to a percentage but a principle. That principle is one of giving cheerfully and sacrificially for the sake of the Gospel. We thank those who help us meet the needs and pray that God would help us to use every gift for the furtherance of The Gospel. God bless you as we serve Him Together in all that He has call us to do. “Since you excel in so many ways–you have so much faith, such gifted speakers, such knowledge, such enthusiasm, and such love for us–now…

Remember the Night
The birth of a child is something I don’t think you can ever forget. I know I will never forget the birth of my two girls. I remember the days leading up to their birth and the days following them. Even though my girls are only three and 9 months old, I am sure 40 years from now I will …
Why the Christmas Spectacular?
This weekend is one of the most exciting of the year at Journey Church. It is a time when we come together as a church family, invite the community, and celebrate the Christmas Season. Here are the Top 10 Reasons to attend Christmas Spectacular this weekend: 10. Smores and cookies 9. Ribbon Dancers 8. Drum Lines 7. Hip Hop Music …
Crackers and Juice
When I was seven years old I was in church, which was a rare occasion for my family, and I was doing the typical seven-year-old thing by coloring in church to pass the time. I remember sitting next to my mother completely oblivious to what was happening around me. All of the sudden something occurred, which I had never seen …
Retreat
College life is full of hazardous and dangerous attacks from the enemy of God. Most of the time, students would claim to be prepared for this battle; however, a temporary retreat from the battle gives students more endurance and strength for the full war. Our college staff prayerfully focused this year’s retreat on this theme: To retreat… the act of withdrawing, …
Leading in Your Family
“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” – Joshua 24:15 You have a new baby. …
Light Up The Dark
After I graduated from college, I traveled half way around the world to live in a mud hut in East Africa to share Christ with AIDS orphans. I had the amazing experience of living in the swamps in the middle of nowhere during rainy season. One of my favorite things to do was to sit under the thatched kitchen area …
The Impact of Service
Saturday mornings are typically marked by sleeping in and switching frozen waffles for a more thoughtful prepared first meal. While many people are reaching for their second cup of coffee, others have been out for hours reaching the Norman community through acts of service. Loveworks mobilizes volunteers to impact those in need in our community. Whether it is shoveling snow …
Reasons to Worship
This Wednesday is our Awakening night of worship at Journey’s North Campus. We hope you can join us; we’re going to engage with God, in His presence, and worship Him because He is good and holy—that alone is worthy of our praise, right!?! This summer, during a morning devotional guide while at a ministry event, I was prompted to list …
You’re Voting for Love!
For the past two Sundays, we’ve been handing out Vote for Love cards for you to use as you impact your community with the love. The stories we’ve gotten back have been great! We’ve gotten them on Facebook, Twitter, in person and on the 40 Days of Love cards we included in your worship guides this past weekend. Don’t forget …
Take the Plunge!
Many or most Christian churches across the world practice an initiatory ritual, in which water is applied to the participant as a symbol of declaration that he or she has achieved the new status as Christ follower. The word used for such a ritual is “Baptism.” This term is derived from the Greek words “baptizo” (verb) and “baptisma” (noun) referring …
