Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…
As we have declared God’s presence in our personal lives, our families’ lives, and our church, we must not forget to also declare God’s sovereignty in our nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-4
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Prayers must be made for our political leaders, spiritual leaders, and anyone in authority. These authoritative positions are very influential and we must pray for their discernment and wisdom to make the best decisions, based on God’s purpose in this nation.
Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I acknowledge the need for your sovereignty in this nation. Father, I confess my sins and my need for your control in our lives. Father, I pray for the authoritative positions in this nation—political and spiritual. I know that all power and control rests in your hands. Father I pray for the salvation of these the leaders. I pray that your Spirit guides their decisions, and that they are filled with your wisdom and discernment. Father, you are Lord in this nation and I declare your rightfully place here. I love you, and thank you. Amen.

What changes do you want to see in this nation? Pray for these changes, and for the political and spiritual leaders who have the influence to execute these changes.
