- GIVEGiving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. As believers we are on a mission to point people to Jesus and are called to steward the finances God gives us toward that end. If you are a Christian outside our area and feel led to give above and beyond your primary giving to your local Christian church, we welcome and appreciate your support. If you attend JourneyChurch.tv, then this is simply another avenue to serve in a way God has called us to. One of the primary ways we serve God is by cheerfully giving God our “firstfruits”(2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9). The New Testament Scriptures doesn’t call us to a percentage but a principle. That principle is one of giving cheerfully and sacrificially for the sake of the Gospel. We thank those who help us meet the needs and pray that God would help us to use every gift for the furtherance of The Gospel. God bless you as we serve Him Together in all that He has call us to do. “Since you excel in so many ways–you have so much faith, such gifted speakers, such knowledge, such enthusiasm, and such love for us–now…

The Lord’s Prayer – June 29
Matthew 6:9-15 This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 28
Matthew 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. There are a lot of situations in life that requires preparation and training—a new job, birth of a child, and, for our soldiers, war. Each requires different training for that specific situation. Did you know that as a Christian you are to also train and …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 27
Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. Our Father is love. First Corinthians says that love is patient and kind; it is not envious, boastful, or proud; it is not rude or …
Student Journey in Haiti: A Perspective Shift
Last week, a few other staff members and I led a team of nearly 40 high school students from Student Journey on an 8 day trip to the Mission of Hope in Titayen, Haiti. It was a week of “firsts” for many of the students involved. For many it was the first time to fly, first time out of the …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 26
Matthew 6:12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Did you notice that the Lord’s Prayer says, “have forgiven”. Its already been done. Just as God says, “What sin?” we are to say, “Forgiven!”. In God’s mind we have already been forgiven because of the sacrifice Jesus made on our behalf. In the same way, God …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 25
Matthew 6:12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. Being human we are not perfect. We know that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). No one is off the hook. Intentionally and unintentionally we sin on a daily basis. Through the grace of God and Jesus’ blood we are …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 22
Matthew 6:11 Give us today our daily bread. To be persistent in prayer and not give up does not mean endlessly repeating yourself or carrying on unendingly. Persistently praying means consistently and constantly keeping your requests before God. Be tenacious. As we are tenacious, we wait for God to answer. As we wait, because God choses the how, when, where, …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 21
Matthew 6:11 Give us today our daily bread. Be specific. Do you bring specific needs to God each day, or do you just expect the answers to come in? Luke 11:5-9 Then he said to them, “Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, because …
The Lord’s Prayer – June 20
Matthew 6:11 Give us today our daily bread. It is God’s will for us to prosper. Our Father has made this promise to His faithful children who seek His blessings in order that they might be able to stretch out fill hands to those in need. God intended us to be givers, not takers. He provides for us so we …
Junior High Takes Dallas
This past week, I had the privilege of serving with 45 students and leaders in Arlington, Texas. We spent Sunday through Thursday learning, growing, and serving together. We worked with an incredible organization called Mission Arlington. They have been serving the city of Arlington for over 20 years, 364 days a year, and we were honored to serve along side …
